Funny Bones Reading - 20 December 2009

Reader's Warehouse introduced Big Skeleton, Small Skeleton and Dog to the young reader's on the 17th December 2009.
Visitors got to find out what happens when the skeletons visit the Zoo one dark night.
Each visitor also got their own Funny Bones bookmark and treats.

Roald Dahl Day Reading - 13 September 2009

Reader's Warehouse had a great Roald Dahl Day event with story telling, lucky draw and Willy Wonka Treats at our Tokai store on the 13th September 2009.
For every Roald Dahl picture book purchased, customers received their very own Enormous Crocodile finger puppet.
Thank you to Penguin Books for sponsoring our lucky draw prizes and Hmm bakery in Clare Street for sponsoring the treats for visitors.

We are clearing stock we have been storing in our warehouse and have been unpacking thousands of books in a clearance outlet store in Rondebosch.

We have stacked up on hundreds of different children paperback series like Molly Moon, The Princess Diaries series, Nina Fairy Ballerina, Horrid Henry, Young James Bond, Cornelia Fluke, Anthony Horowitz and many more selling from R35.00 each.

New framed up inscribed author photographs at Reader's Paradise include the Wickedly Splendid Spud author John van de Ruit and Cape Town author Tom Eaton.
John van de Ruit in the past two years has become one of the bestselling authors in South African history. His two Spud novels have had strong sales around South Africa and with two more novels in the Spud series still to come and the first Spud movie. John van de Ruit is set to bring even more mayhem and madness to the South African public and the world.
Tom Eaton brought out the very popular The De Villiers Code novel last year and followed it up with Texas. Firm favourites in local book clubs and reading groups. Tom Eaton's novels have both climbed up the South African bestsellers list.

The documentary was shown on ITV in the UK on the 31 December 2007.

Pagan and Wicca Talk with Donna Darkwolf Vos - 15 October 2007

A Wicca and Pagan talk will be taking place at Reader's Paradise on Saturday the 27th October 2007 at 10am.
The talk and discussion will be run by author Donna Vos.
Donna will be talking about her book 'Dancing under an African Moon - Paganism and Wicca in South Africa' and her experiences meeting people who practise Paganism and more.

Reader's Paradise and Pensieve.net (The largest Harry Potter website in South Africa) have teamed up for a Harry Potter Post-Mortem.
On the 1st September Harry Potter reader's and fans can attend a discussion and quiz in connection with the Harry Potter book series.
If you have any burning unanswered questions? Find out perspectives from people in English Literature and Media.
Find out what other fans enjoyed about the series and how they feel about the ending of the last book.
Also, Reader's Paradise and Pensieve.net are going to be launch a special 'Thank You Gift' to J.K. Rowling. Which will be discussed at the event.
If you know your Harry Potter information, you might win some fantastic prizes up for graps in the Quiz. A great range of Harry Potter hardcover and paperback books can be won, plus Harry Potter magnetic bookmarks, magnets and more.
