Start The Spark is a reading initiative by Reader's Warehouse to get children reading.

What put you into the wonderful world of reading books?

Was it the fun rhymes of Dr Seuss, the adventures of the Famous Five and Secret Seven, the fairy tales of Cinderella and Snow White, the mischief Peter Rabbit, field reporting with Tintin, exploring Oz with Dorothy or something more recent like the young wizard Harry Potter or local hero Spud Milton?

Reader's Warehouse has created a children reading wonderland upstairs in its store.

We have stocked up on thousands of discounted books for children aged 0 to 18+.

These include soft cloth books, bath books, finger books, noisy books, board books, touch and feel, activity and story books, picture books, children treasuries, classic tales, paperback novels, hardcovers and many others.

All books are available at discounted prices, starting at only R10.00 each. Most book prices range from R25.00, R40.00 and R75.00 each.

Come find your favourite characters and new friends in an area dedicated to you.

We have hung up some fantastic mobiles, put new colourful mats on the floor, decorated the area with book related memorabilia and stuck up some posters. We have even got some comfy seats to sit on and enjoy picking new books.

Schools are welcome to be listed in our school programs. Reader's Warehouse offers great discounts for school libraries, sponsor school yearly readathons and send out different materials to put up and giveaway at libraries.
