This book takes a broad look at the challenges that face Southern African managers in the new era, and how they may face these issues in the business context. By means of their revolutionary new Onion Model, which graphically outlines the concentric processes of Organisational Development, the authors - all highly regarded experts in their field - examine Current Realities in Organisational Development and the basic principles behind organisational behaviour, and take an intriguing look at The changing Environment both locally and internationally as a result of recent social and political developments. It is against this background that the authors investigate The Evolving Paradigm of business in Southern Africa, the sociopolitical and legislative stipulations and the impact these have on the design and management of organisational structures and processes. Fascinating Case Studies help introduce the practical implications of Organisational Development in the workplace, before considering the debate on the future of the Organisational Development process and its place in the changing Southern African region.
